The Story

A rich gravy of meat pieces with aromatic spices and a hint of coconut makes it an everyday delight for meat lovers.

Ingredients:

  • 500g mutton pieces
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tablespoons Suhana Mutton Masala
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Recipe:

  • Roast poppy and sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden brown. Grind them with grated coconut into a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan, sauté chopped onions until golden brown, and add ginger-garlic paste.
  • Add pureed tomatoes and cook until oil separates from the masala.
  • Stir in Suhana (Meat) Mutton Masala, ground coconut-poppy-sesame paste, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add mutton pieces, sear until browned, and add enough water to cover the mutton.
  • Simmer until the mutton is tender and the masala thickens.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with naan or steamed rice.
